About the role:

The Application Manager is responsible for the planning, design, setup and support of the Sequoia One technology and tools set. You will be seen as our resident black belt in all things technology. A primary focus will be to maintain and evolve our utilization of the PrismHR platform (by Davison) as we roll it out to a growing list of clients. As the Application Manager, you will also be counted on to evaluate and explore additional technologies that we could bring to our service offering in order to continually improve the way we work internally.

What you get to do

  • Plan, design, and lead PrismHR application activities (integration of systems, infrastructure, databases and third party applications)
  • Provide hands-on support for the PrismHR (Davison) system; guide the team’s utilization and innovation of the platform
  • Perform problem and root cause analysis, outlining resolution options and taking appropriate actions to resolve issues
  • Train our internal users on the utilization of the technologies we use, prepare training materials and conduct training programs as needed as well as provide user support
  • Evaluate and anticipate impact of new technical solutions and placement on product roadmap
  • Maintain vendor relationships
  • Maintain systems management projects and participate effectively in other IT projects
  • Complete/implement new account setups with data exchange partners
  • Performing complex configuration and performance analysis tasks

Qualifications

  • Prior experience with other HRIS, benefits and payroll applications
  • Good understanding of EDI management
  • Ability to troubleshoot errors in batch job runs on a mainframe
  • Knowledge in programming databases, and infrastructures, including Citrix and SQL
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate into technical deliverables
  • Advanced problem solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to meet complex business needs
  • High attention to detail and an analytical approach
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working in a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) is a plus but not required
  • Bachelors degree required
