Legacy seeks an accomplished activation specialist to represent our spirits client in key on-premise accounts. Candidates should have experience working within the spirits/beer vertical, be very familiar with innerworkings of the three-tier system and have an ability and drive to meet aggressive commercial and visibility KPIs.

 

This position will work in lockstep with both supplier and distributor stakeholders, deploying seasonal marketing programs to a highly targeted account list. He/she will serve as as on-premise brand activation agent and sales facilitator, tasked with delivering growth and outperforming the balance of market in a sustainable way.

 
Requirements:

  • Must have a working knowledge of the whiskey and tequila categories
  • Must be comfortable managing field activations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, while meeting administrative deadlines including activity and expense reports
  • If applicable, must divest any financial stake and discontinue and affiliation/employment, business venture with on-premise account(s)
  • May not be involved with, working for, or representing any other beer, wine or spirit brand
  • Must have clean background and driving record, must have regular “desktop” access to internet for reporting

Core Sales & Trade Advocacy Responsibilities

  • Leverage expertise of local on-premise landscape to deliver a targeted account list at program launch
  • Conduct account audits in order to establish KPI viability/targets and develop tactical activation solutions
  • Align activation strategy with supplier and distributor stakeholders in accordance with seasonal sales calendar
  • Develop and manage an activation schedule which drives delivery of aggressive sales and marketing KPIs including distribution, drink features, staff trainings, POS execution and consumer sampling
  • Conduct weekly meetings/calls with primary supplier and distributor contacts to recap activity and ensure it is properly leveraged to drive sales
  • Attend general sales meetings and periodically accompany the sales teams on ride-withs
  • Manage a budget including extensive consumer sampling activity and a modest T&E
  • Deploy trade focused educational and hospitality programs, leveraging brand ambassador resources
  • Analyze sales reports to evaluate ROI, extract actionable results and course-correct activation strategy
  • Following each account visit, deliver a recap including key metrics, photos, action-items and more using digital/mobile reporting tools
  • Deliver weekly digests to supplier, distributor and agency stakeholders detailing wins, challenges, opportunities, competitive activity and key learnings
  • Develop a network with the key industry professionals, celebrate those relationships organically and through various trade initiatives and platforms over course of the year in a measurable way
  • Maintain a dialogue with national counterparts and Legacy HQ in order to propogate best practices
  • Have a full understanding of state laws

  • Performance reviews delivered annually, up to 5% performance bonus
  • Some travel may be required (locally, domestically, internationally)
