As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for the architecture, testing, and security of our On-demand SaaS service. Working as part of the “Ops” side of our DevOps team, Site Reliability Engineers need to understand the entirety of the PingOne stack (from the database layers through the networking and front-end user experience). SRE's are expected to provide input wherever possible in the product’s development, deployment and design.

Responsibilities:

  • Linux systems administration, configuration, troubleshooting and automation.
  • Administration, configuration, troubleshooting and automation of AWS, Open Stack, or Google Compute Engine.
  • Analysis of complex system behavior, performance and application issues.
  • Development of monitoring solutions and analysis across multiple data centers.
  • Capacity analysis and planning, traffic routing, and security policies for Ping’s market leading Single Sign-On SaaS applications.
  • Monitoring SLA adherence and performance metrics.
  • Develop, maintain and administration of cutting-edge infrastructure deployment tools.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years experience with Linux/UNIX systems administration.
  • Configuration management experience. Puppet and Ruby experience is a big plus!
  • Experience with with Git in a collaborative environment. GitHub/GitLab experience a plus.
  • Apache, Tomcat, Cassandra and MySQL experience is a plus.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware, Xen, KVM and public cloud resources such as AWS or Rackspace Cloud.
  • IP networking, including familiarity with the functionality, operating, and failure modes of networks.
  • Proven technical troubleshooting and performance tuning experience.
  • Experience in a high-volume or critical production service environment.
  • Experience with developing, using, or committing to open source projects a plus!
  • Track record of working closely with Java development teams.
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, or relevant experience.
