Healthcare Credentialing Specialist
Description
Dean Dorton Healthcare Solutions, one of Kentucky’s premier medical billing and credentialing companies, is seeking a detail oriented and results driven Healthcare Credentialing Specialist to join our Healthcare Consulting team.
In this role, you will perform critical functions for Dean Dorton Healthcare Solutions clients, which includes physicians, medical practice groups, and other healthcare entities.
Specific job responsibilities include:
- Initiating contracts with payers, with new physician practice setups.
- Tracking and maintaining appropriate licensure, certificates, insurance, and DEA certificates for providers, as well as updating information in Intellisoft and CAQH.
- Reviewing and researching upcoming changes in credentialing requirements.
- Reporting on provider enrollment, and updating the provider, practice manager, and billing department immediately to ensure quick claim payments.
- Completing physician credentialing applications and revalidations for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers.
- Tacking applications accurately and timely through the credentialing process to ensure optimal timely enrollment with the payers.
- Tracking issues related to credentialing, including quick resolution and updates to the client.
Job requirements:
Dean Dorton is a fast paced work environment that requires multi-tasking and superior organizational skills. The ideal candidate with have a minimum of two years’ experience in credentialing different provider types. In addition, we are looking for someone who:
- Maintains a high attention to detail and has excellent record keeping skills.
- Works independently, taking initiative on a variety of tasks and projects.
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality, following all HIPAA policies and procedures.
- Has experience in EFT setup with various payers.
- Lastly, candidates will catch our immediate attention if they have experience with credentialing in multiple states and experience using Intellisoft database.
