Universal Banker (full-time and part-time opportunities)

*Hourly rate $23+/hour, based on experience   

    

*Full-time schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:15am to 5:00 pm, and a minimum of two Saturdays per month, 8:30 am to 12:00 pm

*Part-time schedule is Thursdays and Fridays, 8:15am-5:00pm, and Saturdays 8:30am-12:15pm.   

    

Walpole Co-operative Bank is seeking a full-time and part-time Universal Banker, responsible for effectively performing customer service and teller functions in a courteous and professional manner.  The Universal Banker will perform all tasks in compliance with established Bank policies and procedures, with federal and state laws and with all fair lending regulations.   

    

Universal Banker Education, Experience, and Skills   

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of teller and customer service experience, and knowledge of bank services and products preferred
  • Excellent communication and sales skills
  • Ability to provide high quality customer-service is extremely important
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to adapt to changing job requirements

Universal Banker Job Responsibilities   

  • Answer customer questions, explain and open bank accounts, identify appropriate bank products and services, accurately and efficiently complete account documentation and obtain proper authorizations, and provide customers with disclosures and product brochures
  • Process customer transactions, provide customers with account information, cash disbursement, check cashing, and cash drawer balancing 
  • Adhere to bank policies and procedures and perform functions in compliance with all rules and regulations; update security and regulatory information through regular training
  • Respond to telephone inquiries and customer issues in an efficient and timely manner
  • Proactive awareness of updated bank products and services
  • Administer safe deposit box access, prepare customer correspondence, intake of loan applications, and review of fraudulent debit card transactions
  • Perform related branch and clerical support functions as assigned
