From Tech to Supervisor: Ayanna’s Career Path at NeoGenomics

When Ayanna started in the lab as a tech at NeoGenomics, she didn’t know that she would move from a tech to a lead position to her current role as a Cytogenetics Wet Lab Supervisor—all within 5 years—but the growth has been invaluable.

“My favorite experience here at NeoGenomics has been my personal growth— and with that is the leadership growth that I’ve seen as a supervisor and just expanding my own personal growth in the field.”

Ayanna also credits the direct impact that employees have on patients that sets NeoGenomics apart from other employers.

“The most rewarding part about my job, other than having my team, is patient care. The results that we put out are vital and they can make a big difference.”

Her final thought? “Growing very quickly in a company was extremely valuable. Your hard work and dedication pays off when you work here.”
